World Opinion Search (WOS) is a blog powered by a suite of  search engines.

The blog  reports on the best opinion  journalism outside of the United States, with an emphasis on excellence and diversity.

The WOS tool, created with the help of technologist Nesti Arene (and the people at Google), consists of a suite of search engines that enables readers to find diverse, quality sources of opinion journalism in the five major regions of the world.

Returns can be sorted by media types (eg. blogs and videos) or by sub-regions (eg. South Asia or Central America).

We are developing a search engine for U.S. opinion sources. Meanwhile, we subscribe to Alexis de Toqueville’s dictum, “There are some things Americans can only learn from foreigners.”

World Opinion Search is also intended to be a community of readers who share and debate the world’s most important political and social issues.

Comments, corrections and suggestions are welcome.
