Use more search terms: A search with just one or two words–such as “Obama Middle East”–will get fairly bland results. Using more search terms–such as  “Obama Clinton Israel Hamas peace talks”–will yield better results.

Use place names: Adding the names of capital city (eg. Beirut, Tehran or Tel Aviv) to your search will yield improve the quality of returns.

Search by commentator’s name: The WOS search engines will find the most popular articles or blog posts, not necessarily the best.

Insert today’s date: In this beta version of World Opinion Search we have not yet been able to effectively time-limit results. Inserting today’s date in quotes ( eg “November 5″) will yield timelier responses.
